In a statement,  by the anti-graft body  bank accounts belonging governor Obado’s brothers; Jared Peter Odoyo Oluoch Kwaga, Ernest Omondi Owino and Joram Opala Otieno have been frozen.

The Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) has also frozen Obado’s bank accounts over what they are terming as an intricate web of looting of Ksh 2.5 billion.

“It is confirmed that Scarlet Susan is daughter of Zachariah Okoth Obado, the Migori county governor,” EACC stated.

EACC has indicated that it is now considering seeking mutual legal assistance from the three countries to recover the cash from 100 bank accounts.

In the applications seeking to extend the freeze, the anti-corruption agency says the legal assistance is provided for under chapter 75a of the Laws of Kenya.

Other suspects under EACC radar are Patroba Ochanda Otieno, Beatrice Akinyi Ogutu, Kennedy Odhiambo Akello and Kennedy Onyango Adongo.
