Is President Uhuru Kenyatta suffering from lung cancer? That’s the question on everyone’s mouth after a popular blog broke the news on Wednesday.

According to the blog, Uhuru was diagnosed with stage one lung cancer a few months ago. The blog claims that they have a close source within the President’s inner circle who broke the news to them.

It further goes ahead to state that there’s no reason for Kenyans to panic since the President has been advised by a team of high level medics on what he must do to avoid aggravating the condition.

Part of the advise is for Uhuru to stay at low altitude areas like the Kenyan coast and wear warm cloths to avoid more breathing complications.

It is believed that the condition could be the reason why Uhuru has limited local interactions in recent times. Uhuru was arrived in the country last week from China under very little fan fare and has limited his time with the public.

He launched the new police service on Thursday and addressed the Nation on Friday from State House where he proposed changes to the Finance bill 2018.

The new revelation comes at a time when, research has revealed that 90 cancer patients die in Kenya everyday.

The new data released last week by World Health Organisation reveal that the disease is now claiming 69 per cent of its victims which translates to 32900 deaths each year.

This accounts for more than ten times the total deaths caused by road accidents that claims an average of 3,000 lives each year.

The grim numbers paint a grey area in the fight of the disease that ranks third in the list of top killers in the country after pneumonia and malaria.
