Arthur has returned to the Barcelona squad for the Champions League opener with PSV Eindhoven on Tuesday evening.
The Brazilian midfielder arrived at the Camp Nou this summer, but is yet to start a La Liga game and he missed out on the match day squad for the visit to the Anoeta on Saturday afternoon.
Barca, who find their visit to Real Sociedad somewhat tricky to say the least, came from behind to seal a 2-1 win thanks to goals from Luis Suarez and Ousmane Dembele.
Arthur, who was fully fit – was forced to watch the game from the stands, but he has now been added to Ernesto Valverde’s side for the game against the Dutch side on Tuesday evening in the Catalan capital.
Missing out are Denis Suarez, who has returned from injury and the Belgian centre back Thomas Vermaelen, who was an unused substitute against La Real at the weekend.
Malcom and Sergi Samper also miss out, both through injury, whilst Munir El Haddadi is installed.
Barca’s come-back against La Real puts them in good stead for the game at the Camp Nou on Tuesday, having sealed a fourth league win in four games.
