Uhuru Kenyatta’s 8% proposal strongly opposed

Days after president Uhuru Kenyatta rejected a bill to delay the implementation of the 16 % levy imposed on all petroleum products, his proposal has continued to draw mixed reactions.

Despite the assurance given to Kenyans by Uhuru that  their taxes will be used well. Critics do not seem to support this move.

According to Kenyatta,in his memorandum, he proposes to increase the resources available to the institutions entrusted to fight corruption.

Some Kenyans have shown a great disappointment and dissatisfaction  to that announcement and it appears quite obvious that they are surprised by those who support the move.

Even with leaders and citizens strongly opposing the proposal and demanding 0 vat to fuel products the decision will be made in parliament by the Members of Parliament later this week.
