I was appointed to government with a fake letter, says Itumbi

Secretary of Digital Innovation and Diaspora in the Office of the President Dennis Itumbi has revealed that he was indeed appointed to government with a fake letter together with his with his friend Dennis Onsarigo.

While speaking at Chipukeezy show on  Ebru TV Itumbi said, “What most people don’t know I actually worked in the Kibaki campaign of 2002 there was a Vijana na Kibaki but I was in the main Secretariat. Sasa kuna jamaa anitwa Alex Mureithi he’s late now and he was a nephew to President Kibaki. Huyo jamaa ile siku Kibaki alishinda election alituletea barua appointing us to the then PPS with a salary of Sh70, 000,” said Itumbi.

According to Itumbi, he was then  a first student year and was excited that he had secured government a job without any qualification but when they got to State House, the officers at the gate told them that the letters they had which had NARC letter heads did not belong there.

He added that at the time their friend Alex had already changed his phone number and they only saw him on TV.

“I was in first year, ametupatia job without any qualification ni barua authentic na ikon a letter head ya NARC. Si tukachukua tukaenda State House gate D. Ule GSU aliangalia hiyo barua akatingiza kichwa akasema tokeni hapa this does not belong here, Alex sahiyo ashachange number tulikuwa tunamuona tu kwa TV for a whole year. I was with Dennis Onsarigo,” said Itumbi.

Itumbi is currently the Director of Secretary of Innovation, Digital and Diaspora Communication in the Office of the President of the Republic of Kenya. He is also the team Lead at www.nexus.go.ke Digital strategy. He was once recognized as the best and most influential Twitter Personality.

Itumbi is the digital advisor to President Uhuru Kenyatta and the Government of Kenya.

He went to the Kenya Institute of Mass Communication, located in Nairobi South, where he earned a diploma in Journalism, he is currently a Masters student of New Media, Governance and Democracy at Leicester University in the UK
