The newest feud on the block is between Eminem and Machine Gun Kelly – but why do the hip hop stars dislike each other so much? It all kicked off again after Eminem’s decision to shock his fans by dropping unannounced album Kamikaze last week. The album has quickly become known as his diss album, with Machine Gun Kelly one of Eminem’s victims. And it’s not sat well with the 28-year-old rapper.

On Eminem’s new track Not Alike, he says: ‘Now you wanna come and fuck with me, huh?/This little cock-sucker, he must be feeling himself/He wants to keep up His tough demeanour, so he does a feature/Decides to team up with Nina/But next time you don’t gotta use Tech N9ne if you wanna come at me with a sub-machine gun/And I’m talking to you but you already know who the fuck you are, Kelly/I don’t use sublims and sure as fuck don’t sneak-diss/But keep commenting on my daughter Hailie.’

The bad blood between the pair predates Eminem’s recent criticism of MGK, however. Fans may recall that MGK’s angered the Lose Yourself hitmaker in 2012 when he tweeted that his daughter, Hailie, was ‘hot as f***’.

MGK claims that his comment about Eminem’s daughter led to him allegedly being banned from certain media outlets. During a freestyle rap with the LA Lakers in 2017, MGK even rapped: ‘I’m my favourite rapper alive since my favourite rapper banned me from Shade 45.’ Shade 45 is a music channel which plays uncensored hip hop music.

And after Eminem responded with Not Alike, the Cleveland-born rapper, born Richard Colson Baker, decided to kick off his Monday by responding to the Kamikaze shots fired by the Slim Shady rapper.

In the track entitled Rap Devil, MGK claims Eminem’s is no longer one of the greatest rappers alive rapping: ‘Still can’t cover up the fact the last four albums as bad as your selfie.’
