Barcelona’s Lionel Messi missed a spot in the FIFA Men’s Player Award finalist as Cristiano Ronaldo, Mohamed Salah ,and Luka Modric took the spots.
He although featured in the revealed top 10 finalists for the Puskas Award.The Puskas Award is given to the best goal scored in a calendar year.
How to define the best goal?Is it a solo effort? A shot from distance? Something acrobatic? Or is a team goal the best?
Those problems are FIFA’s to work out. On their official website FIFA announce: The criteria are fairly simple: an aesthetically beautiful goal, awarded without distinction of championship, gender or nationality, scored without the result of luck or a mistake and in support of Fair Play.
