Having beaten Huddersfield Town, Arsenal and Newcastle United, the Blues ensured they remained level on points with Liverpool at the top of the league following Saturday’s 2-0 win over Bournemouth.

The Cherries, who travelled to Stamford Bridge unbeaten in the league, made it very hard for the hosts and it took a 72nd minute goal from Pedro to finally break the deadlock.

Eden Hazard then put the result beyond any doubt with a low finish five minutes from time.

“The gap at the beginning was 30 points. I think it’s very difficult to recover this gap in only one season.

“I’m very happy with the four matches, but I think only, starting from now, about the next match. Not until the end of the season.”
