Tuyisenge included in Gor Mahia squad for Algerian assignment

Despite missing the Mashemeji derby win on Saturday, Jacques Tuyisenge has been named in Gor Mahia squad that departs on Monday for Algeria to face USM Alger in the CAF Confederations cup.

K’Ogallo’s top scorer has missed the past two league matches owing to a back injury but coach Dylan Kerr included him in the squad for the must win clash alongside Boniface Oluoch also missed the derby.

Gor Mahia, who beat AFC Leopards 2-0 to successfully defend the Kenyan Premier League title on Saturday with six games to spare, received a boost from President Uhuru Kenyatta, who gave the team 30 air tickets for the trip.

K’Ogalo are top of the Group with eight points, same as USM Alger with Rayon Sports third on six points. The Rwandan side will host Yanga of Tanzania in the other match in Kigali.
