This is When Man United will Sack Mourinho

Jose Mourinho will be removed from his post at Manchester United if he fails to deliver a Premier League title at Old Trafford this season, according to the Guardian.

The 55-year-old ended his second campaign without a trophy but did record 81 points, the club’s highest total since 2013, and was the closest challenger to Manchester City.

His poor start to the 2018/19 campaign, which saw Man United lose miserably to Brighton and Hove Albion over the weekend, has led to many calling for him to be sacked just two games into the new season.

But according to Jamie Jackson, Woodward is in no rush to get rid of Mourinho and believes he can turn the situation around at United. Further failure and dysfunction on the pitch, however, will convince the chairman to look at other options – especially if the club’s league position doesn’t improve from last season.

For all the pain being a United fan currently entails, at least we know this: the next nine months will be decisive in determining which manager takes charge of the club going forward.

It really is quite simple: further progress in terms of results under Mourinho will be rewarded, while anything less will see the Portuguese dismissed. All we can do is wait and see how it all unfolds.
