Gor Mahia blasts critics

Gor Mahia FC head coach Dylan Kerr is pleased with the manner the side played against Sofapaka FC in a midweek clash staged at Narok County Stadium on Wednesday 22 August.

The league leaders scored through Joakim Olouch, Innocent Wafula (penalty) and Samuel Onyango for 3-0 win that puts them a point away from being crowned the 2018 Kenya Premier League title. Kerr is happy with the way the side attacked and believes his charges defended like lions.

The Briton tactician is proud of the team’s display in Narok and he is keen to know what his critics will say after watching their 3-0 win over Batoto Ba Mungu.

“I am pleased with the manner we did it. If we don’t pick up something, a lot of people criticize the team, myself and most of them are Gor Mahia FC  members. I am waiting to hear what critics will say after the performance against Sofapaka. Am proud of how the boys did and the guys at home should be proud of their fellow players who travel. We took our chances when we need to, defended like lions,” he said after the match.

Gor Mahia now shifts focus on the Mashemeji Derby. They will host AFC Leopards at Kasarani Stadium on Saturday. Heading to the tie, Gor Mahia FC have a chance of hitting the 70 point mark if they win the derby.

The defending champions have so far picked 21 wins from 27 matches played this season. Kerr charges have suffered just one loss and have picked five draws.
