A section of social media users have trolled the Deputy President William Ruto for posting a picture where he is seen hanging out with the Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni.

DP Ruto was in Uganda over the weekend for a series of official activities including paying a courtesy call on his host and launching a tarmac road that is set to link Uganda with Kenya.

He was accompanied by members of his immediate family including his son, daughter and Wife Rachael Ruto.

However some  DP’s followers on social media seem to have an issue with Museveni, whose regime is under continuous attack over allegations of unleashing violence on citizens and politicians, including popular singer Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine.

Bobi Wine has been in detention in several military camps in the country over the past week. Social media users have been calling for his release using the hashtag #FreeBobiWine.

He faces charges of being found in possession of guns in the aftermath of the chaotic scenes that rocked the recent Arua Municipality by-elections.

Consequently, some who shared comments on the DP’s Twitter page asked him to either keep away, or ask him to release Bobi Wine.

Here are some of the reactions
