Pogba is too Arrogant for Manchester United

According to Danny Mills, Paul Pogba would have had no place in a Manchester United team under Sir Alex Ferguson if he behaved the way he is now.

Ferguson famously sold Pogba to Juventus in 2012, before Manchester United brought him back to the club for a world record fee.

The Scot was also quick to let go of any players who he considered detrimental to the team, or because they thought of themselves bigger than the club. These included David Beckham and Roy Keane.

“There has been a lot of talk of does Pogba stay or does he go? Who is bigger than the club?” Mills said to ‘Sky Sports’.

“I don’t think there is a particular issue between him and Mourinho. I don’t really buy into that. I think there is maybe an issue between Pogba and the football club in terms of who is bigger.

“Is he causing one or two problems with the way he does things on social media? If it was Sir Alex I think he would be gone by now.

“But Sir Alex had the ability to bring in better players when he got rid of the likes of Jaap Stam, he brought in Rio Ferdinand.

“If Mourinho gets rid of Pogba he can’t bring anybody else in. Also Ferguson had 10-15 years of trophies and experience at the football club and was the head honcho.

“It is a difficult one. You have to play one of the world’s best players if you have him in your squad but he is not playing well enough at the moment.”

Scholes Slams Pogba

Pogba was named captain for the second consecutive game, but his side fell in a 3-2 defeat away at Brighton.

“There’s a lack of leaders in the team,” Scholes told ‘Optus Sport’.

“We thought Paul Pogba might be the ideal candidate to be that leader but he wasn’t there today. He had another really poor game. He’s so inconsistent.

“Pogba’s playing the ball out of play, he’s overhitting passes, he’s hitting passes short, he’s getting caught in possession.

You have to get the ball to the players who can beat a man, who can win games for you. [Romelu] Lukaku can do it. [Anthony] Martial can do it.

“Martial, in the first half, got one ball on the left-hand side in the first half and he absolutely flew past the right back. I can’t remember another time when they got the ball to him.”

  1. In football there is always a win or lose if not draw.In This case pointing a finger at someone is not a way to go.Just give both sides a chance to prove their abilities
