It’s hard for me to find a boyfriend, Reveals Nana Gechaga

President Uhuru Kenyatta’s niece Nana Gecaga who also happens to be the Chief Executive Officer at Kenyatta International Convention Centre in Nairobi (KICC) has opened up on her love life a topic she rarely discuss with a revelation that she is yet to meet a man who loves her genuinely for who she is.

In a  interview with one of the local dailies Nana dwelt on her career journey that has seen her climbing up the corporate ladder to become the CEO of KICC at a very young age, however she was not afraid to talk about her privileged background as the granddaughter to the founding father the late Mzee Jomo Kenyatta.

Nana is the daughter of President Uhuru’s Sister Jeni Wambui and she is the sister to the Presidents personal Assistant Jomo Gechaga.

Despite all these privileges, Nana  revealed that getting a genuine man to spend her life with has been her biggest challenge in life, as most men she meet are only interested in her status and networks.

She further said, “I have struggled with relationships. I have had a couple of good relationships, but mostly it’s been difficult because the people have not been interested in me as a person.”

She was however quick to point out that that said, she wouldn’t have wanted to be born in a different family.

In addition she said, “I don’t say I wish I was not born in a family like this, the love that they provide is undisputed. Like I said, I’ve got three beautiful children. I’m a single mother and I’m not dating or anything like that.”

Nana once revealed on churchill show that she is a recovering alcoholic something that shock many as people did not expect it from her.

To the shock and amusement of many, Gecaga said she would down an entire crate of beer and a bottle of hard liquor a day. ‘’Well it was 24 beers that’s a crate a day and a half a bottle or full bottle of liquor,’’

Gecaga disclosed that she took the step take it slow at the age of 21 after living in the UK for over a decade. She added that the bold move did not come short of challenges revealing that she lost friends.
