Born on 23rd September 1980, to Nasur and the late Halima Hassan, Zarinah Zaitun Hassan spent most of her childhood in Jinja, Uganda. She is of mixed heritage as her father is half Somali and Burundian while Zari Hassan mother is of Indian and Ugandan background. Zari has seven siblings (two brothers and five sisters).
2. Zari is a trained beautician
Zari Hassan earned a Diploma in Cosmetology the UK’s Cosmetology School of Girls. Before that, Zari did her A-levels at Jinja Girls High School. In 2011, Zari Hassan wedding to Ivan was held in Uganda. The couple later separated in 2014. The split was not without its share of drama as both parties accused each other of this and that. Zari has stated that Ivan was abusive towards her.

While traveling back to Uganda from South Africa, Zari Hassan and Diamond bumped into each other in 2014.
