Former Nairobi Governor Dr Evans Kidero was on Wednesday arrested by detectives from the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission over alleged graft.

EACC confirmed the arrest on their official Twitter page. The commission said Kidero will be arraigned on Thursday before an anti-corruption Court alongside seven others. Kidero was under investigation over mismanagement of funds at the county when he served as governor.

6. The DPP has independently reviewed the file and material submitted to him and is satisfied that the persons named are criminally culpable jointly and severally.#AntiCorruption_ODPP
