Which EPL team has the worst Jersey? Arsenal or Man United?

The new season commences on August 10, and most clubs have already announced their new home kits for the forthcoming campaign; ranging from classic looks to more contemporary designs, while some look unimaginatively comparable with last season’s kits.

With that being considered, how do the new confirmed home kits rank?

20. Manchester United

Given United’s breathtaking third kit for this season, there would have been high expectations for an equally impressive home kit. Unfortunately there really isn’t anything inspiring about this kit at all.

19. Arsenal

The classic full red Arsenal shirt with white sleeves is a brilliantly stylish design – think 2010/11 – but this one looks a bit extravagant chest upwards, especially the faded red on both sleeves.

18. Burnley

Too much going on with the shirt, though that might be due to the excessive sponsor logo; if they could tailor this aspect down then it would certainly be contending near the upper reaches of this ranking system.

17. Chelsea

An interesting effort from Nike, but the kit really just looks like they gave up half way through designing it.

16. Tottenham Hotspur

Where does the shirt end and where do the shorts begin? An interesting choice from Spurs as they prepare for life in their new stadium.

15. Crystal Palace

Palace have elaborated more on the yellow hue, bringing the colour to more prominence on the front of the collar, while they have also attempted to bring a more modern dimension with the smaller red and blue stripes exaggerated on the original red stripes – plain red stripes would have been a more classy look.

14. Manchester City

Last season’s kit did not need much adjusting, but Nike have returned to the 2016/17 sleeve design with a darker shade of blue, except this time around they’ve adopted a more jagged look – the collar is very questionable as well.

13. Everton

Umbro are keeping their retro theme of embroidering their logo across the trim of the sleeve, and it certainly adds a more classical element to their kits. The new look collar is the main alteration from last season, while there is a more faded blue tinge across the kit.

12. Bournemouth

The real standout point from this kit is the retro Umbro logo etched across the trim of the sleeve, other than that it is fairly routine kit, though last season’s simple red and black design was a perfect fit for Bournemouth.

11. Newcastle United

Keeping in check with last season’s design, this Newcastle kit has really only replaced a black collar for a white one, which is certainly easier on the eye.
