Uhuru Kenyatta is Sub-Saharan Africa's most famous leader

A study has revealed that President Uhuru Kenyatta is the most admired public figure among a majority of Kenyan women.

The report that was released by Consumer Insight Africa, a market research agency, conducted the study to help define Kenyan women socially, behaviourally and economically.

The findings of the research, which were released on Tuesday, ended up putting President Kenyatta ahead of opposition leader Raila Odinga, First Lady Margaret Kenyatta and the late environmentalist Wangari Maathai.

Among the top 10 role models for Kenyan women contained in the report, only four are ladies while two others, who are foreigners, being former presidents – the late Nelson Mandela (South Africa) and Barrack Obama (US).

According to Consumer Insight Kenya Managing Director Ndirangu Maina,  “The easiest way to earn the esteem of Kenyan women it seems, is to be a do-gooder. Wangari Maathai and Margaret Kenyatta are in the top four, no doubt because of their celebrated works.”

The research also found out that more women are now eyeing actualizing property inheritance rights. It noted that at least 84% of Kenyan women have approval for women inheriting property.

President Kenyatta also happens to be very vocal on Social media, updation his followers, hence putting him as the second most followed leader on Facebook in Africa.

The World Leaders on Facebook  listed him in second place with  3.5 million followers in the newly released 2018 report coming  right  after Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi who had over 7.2 million followers.

Ghana’s President, Nana Akufo-Addo, came 3rd in Africa with approximately 1.6 million followers.

The study also analyzes the activity of 650 Facebook pages of heads of state and government and foreign ministers from January 1, 2017, using aggregate data from Facebook’s Crowdtangle tool.

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi was the most followed world leader on Facebook with 43.2 million followers on his personal page, almost twice as many as U.S’s Donald Trump who has 23.1 million followers.

Queen Rania of Jordan came in third place with 16 million followers, ahead of the institutional page of the Indian Premier, @PMOIndia, with 13.9 million followers.

Cambodia’s Prime Minister Hun Sen has shot into fifth position of the most followed world leaders, with 9.6 million followers and a growth rate of 48 percent.

He happens to be the most popular leader in Sub-Saharan Africa beating the likes of Rwanda President Paul Kagame and Ghana President Nana Akufo-Addo

President Uhuru’s personality could also be a major contribution when it comes to people liking and loving him. This is due to his interaction with people both online and offline.

The president has also been spotted visiting areas where not so many people in his position would go.He is seen dining with just ordinary people which seems to be one of the most attractive character anyone in his position would have.

His work has also seen him get invites in conferences like the G8 where he met The US President Donald Trump, he has been invited to high level United Nations forums and delivering speech to the world.

President Kenyatta assumed office together with his running mate Deputh President William Ruto in 2013 on The National Alliance Party (TNA) after running against Raila Odinga.He was later re-elected in 2017 after he again ran against Raila Odinga becoming president for the second time in row.
