Dead insects can now be painted on your nails. Would you do it?

There is only one thing worse than pesky insects in this ridiculous heat. And it just happens to be the most ridiculous manicure we’ve ever come across. Yes, you can now get a statement nail art featuring dead bugs. Because while we’re over here dousing ourselves in fly repellent, the Instagram account Nail Sunny who is actually based in Russia, has thought of a way to incorporate irritating insects into your beauty regime.

Sharing the bizarre design with her 1.7 million Instagram followers, it’s safe to say that this the nail art no one ever asked for or wanted. Quickly racking up the comments, one user labelled the look “disturbing and disgusting” while others simply had to ask “why?”

We happen to agree with the user who just wrote “yuck”. Enough said, really. But luckily for those dying to try this look at home, the nail artist uploaded a step-by-step guide for achieving the fossil-insect look. Firstly, the nail artist starts by covering her nail in glue and quickly placing a dead insect over it before it dries. Patting it down with a brush, the insect’s delicate body starts to break apart under the glue. Did anyone else just get shivers?

She then finishes off the statement shellac mani with an orange top coat and places under UV light. So while it may be simple, we’re sadly still going to give it a miss. Although we still don’t know how she caught those flies. In more nail news, this colouring pencil manicure has taken artistic design to a whole new level. And if that wasn’t weird enough, you can now get cow udder nails that you can squeeze real milk out of.

Nail Sunny also created has created bonkers nail art by gluing toothbrush heads to her fingers.

Well another  crazy new form of nail art has got us taking a trip down memory lane. The experimental beauty Instagram account Nail Sunny has really outdone itself with this new colouring pencil nail art. Yes you read that correctly… you can now get a manicure which looks weirdly like your old trusty colouring tools. Complete with actual coloured lead, this can only mean one thing: it’s time to rummage around for those old colouring books.

While we’re still hoping the Russian nail pro uploads a tutorial video, we can only imagine the intricacies of this design. We’re talking epic nail extensions, serious glue skills, and somehow sticking actual lead into the works. With their perfectly painted and weirdly realistic look, the “pencil” nails even have the appearance of ridges to mimic wooden design.

No wonder the account has over 1.7 million followers. Although we can’t help but admire the incredible design, we can only imagine just how impractical this manicure would be for everyday life… cup of tea accidentally dipped in lead, anyone? In even weirder nail news, you can now get cow udder nails that you can squeeze real milk out of. Plus fruit nails are the freshest beauty trend this season and we’re loving the pineapple pattern.
