Kenyan striker axed in Zambia

The Zambian Super League side NAPSA Stars has released Kenya’s international Ismail Salim Dunga.

Dunga is among eight players to be edged by NAPSA in the midseason transfer cut. The former Mathare United, Tusker and Nakumatt forward joined the club from Lusaka Dynamos who got relegated at the end of last season.

“The Club has parted company with the following players; Masosa Bola, Konga-Konga Oma, Souleyman Lokwa, Salim Dunga, Jean Nzeyimana, Bobo Kidimu, Nsiala Guyve and Victor Nyantenga.” NAPSA announced.

Dunga left the Brewers in 2016 for Greece where he joined Achanaikos where fellow compatriot Paul Were was plying the trade. He left after six months to join Bulgarian side Slavia Sofia and he never featured for the side for the work permit issues.

His sojourn led him to North Africa where he was unveiled by Morocco’s Division 2 side Raja Beni Mella in August 2017. From Morocco, he journeyed Southwards to Zambia where his debut season with Dynamos ended with a relegation chop.

It was reported that the Kenyan forward signed a three-year contract with Dynamos then.
