Real Madrid to Announce The Capture of Chelsea Star Today

The Belgian had a great World Cup with his national side, as he picked up the Golden Glove award in the tournament which will have done no harm in attracting Real Madrid’s interest.

The player is in the last year of his contract with his current club, and has had his sights set on a move to Madrid to be nearer his two children, who live in the city.

According to ‘Marca’, Real Madrid are looking to make a move for the keeper as soon as possible, and talks between themselves and Chelsea have reached a very advanced point.

Given his contract situation, the fee will not be particularly high for a player of his quality, with Madrid being quoted a fee of around £36 million and are looking to accelerate the negotiations to get the deal across the line after Courtois’s World Cup exploits.

Speaking on his return to Belgium from Russia, the former Atletico Madrid goalkeeper addressed his club situation.

“In this World Cup, I have ignored all the speculation, all the rumours.

“But now in the next few days I will have a chat with my agent and see what Chelsea told him, and then we will talk.” Courtois afirmed.
