Nigerian player Ezekiel Henty sets Europa League target with Croatian side

NK Osijek are banking on new signing, Ezekiel Henty, to fire the club past the qualifying rounds of the Europa League after a near miss last season and the player says he feels the weight of the expectations. The Nigerian, who started his European sojourn in Italy with AC Milan’s primavera, believes the experience of playing across Europe will hel him settle in well with his new teammates. NK Osijek finished third last season in the league and are bouyed to reach the group stage of the Europa League this season having lost on away goals in the final play-off round last term.

‘There’s a lot of expectation from me. The team finished third last season and this season getting as far as the group stages of the Europa league is one of the main objectives. They came close last season and I was brought in to help achieve that objective. The player also revealed his personal target for the season with his new team.

‘I want to score goals and help the team achieve our main objectives for the season, but personally, I also want to be the best here,’ he said.
