Boniface Oluoch to Miss Kogalo’s Crunch Tie

Kenyan Premier League side Gor Mahia will miss up to five players when they take on Yanga in the Caf Confederation Cup match on Wednesday.

First choice goalkeeper Boniface Oluoch is the latest player to join the sick bed ahead of the crunch tie set to kick off at 7.00 pm at the Kasarani Stadium.

Oluoch now joins the growing list of crocked players that includes Earnest Wendo and winger George Odhiambo.

The trio will join Joash Onyango, who is suspended as well as new signing Francis Mustapha. Mustapha is ineligible to take part in the tie after the club failed to submit his name to Caf in time.

Coach Dylan Kerr is however optimistic the remaining players will do the job effectively.

“We always miss outer players because they have been part of this journey, but I believe we have their replacements who can do the job.

“The game is all done to the players and their hunger will definitely push them to get something from the match.

“Ochieng, Wellington, is in the team but might not start the match, he will probably start from the bench but the bottom line is we are happy to have him in the team.”
