Mario Balotelli has been made to train alone at Nice after he failed to turn up to preseason training to try and force through a move.
The striker has had a controversial career ever since he broke in to the Inter team almost a decade ago, and shows no sign of that changing any time soon.
The former Liverpool player had a difficult spell between 2014 and 2016 on the pitch, and took a move to Nice in the French league to try and resurect his career.
In the two seasons he has been at the club, he has arguably been in the form of his life as he has notched 33 goals in 51 appearances for the club.
As a result of his excellent performances, Marseille were in advanced negotiations to buy him this summer, and so Balotelli decided to not attend the beginning of preseason training with the deal seemingly imminent.
Newly-appointed Nice boss Patrick Viera spoke of his disappointment at the striker’s behaviour last week, and now that the deal with Marseille has fallen through the Italian has been forced to eat humble pie.
To reprimand him for not reprting for the first two weeks of training, Viera has made the player train by himself.
