Luke Shaw rejects Everton, Sandro reportedly agrees Man United deal

Manchester United defender Luke Shaw has rejected the opportunity to join Everton as the club made a move to sign Shaw. The details of Everton’s bid hasn’t been made clear. However the report states as following: Luke Shaw has rejected the opportunity to rebuild his stalling career at Everton. Out of favour at Manchester United after spurning multiple chances to establish himself as the club’s starting left-back, Shaw has been made available for transfer in the current window as Jose Mourinho seeks to improve his defensive options.

The report goes on to note that Shaw only wants to leave Man United in 2019 when his contract expires. Shaw would be a free agent in twelve months time. The picture is beginning to form where Shaw has no future at Old Trafford, yet he’s prepared to sit out a season before leaving. Another report also claimed that Alex Sandro has ‘agreed’ terms with the Red Devils. Yet, before Man United fans get too excited, the Brazil feels a way off from actually leaving Juventus:

Although United have identified Alex Sandro as their preferred replacement for Shaw, provisionally agreeing personal terms with the Brazil international, they have refused to meet Juventus’ asking price for the defender. Shaw’s reluctance to consider offers from elsewhere in the Premier League has further complicated the move for Sandro. Man United’s left-back options are set to be reduced further as Daley Blind is on the verge of re-joining Ajax. Ashley Young seems like Man United’s number one left-back option heading into the new season. Last season Young agreed a one-year extension to remain at Old Trafford.
