French star desperate for Liverpool move

Nabil Fekir has told Lyon’s owner that he is still desperate to move to Liverpool. Fekir is a French professional footballer who plays as an attacking midfielder or a forward for Lyon. An academy graduate of Lyon, he was promoted to the senior squad in July 2013.

The Mirror are reporting that the France international, who could feature in Sunday’s World Cup final, has agreed with owner Jean-Michel Aulas that talks with Liverpool will be reopened. That will allow Fekir and Liverpool to attempt to push through his ‘dream’ move to Anfield. Aulas and Fekir have met twice during the World Cup, including after the semi-final win against Belgium. The owner went into the dressing room to celebrate.

Fekir and his advisor Jean-Pierre Bernes then sat down with Aulas to discuss the failed switch to Liverpool. The move initially fell apart due to issues surrounding medical details after a £53million deal was agreed. There was a problem with the medical which caused Liverpool to hesitate on the move. Liverpool need the terms to change for them to return to the negotiating table.
