Why Arsenal didn’t sign PSG midfielder Yacine Adli

Arsenal have not signed Yacine Adli this summer because the player opted to stay at PSG instead, according to reports. The Gunners have made a number of notable signings so far during this transfer window, including the purchases of midfielder Lucas Torreia and goalkeeper Bernd Leno.

However, Adli has also been a reported target of Arsenal, but according to RMC Sport journalist Loïc Tanzi, he won’t be joining the London club. Whether or not Adli will ever play for Arsenal remains to be seen, but he looks set to remain in Paris for atleast one more campaign.

Along with player acquisitions, the north London club also hired a new manager ahead of the new season, Unai Emery, who replaced Arsene Wenger. Arsenal’s first match of the new Premier League season under Emery is against Manchester City at home on August 12.
