Juventus coach excited by Ronaldo signing

Juventus boss Max Allegri believes the signing of Cristiano Ronaldo ‘marks a step up for everyone at the club’. Massimiliano Allegri is an Italian professional football manager and former player currently in charge of Serie A club Juventus. As a player, Allegri was a midfielder who spent his career playing for various Italian clubs.

Juve’s €105m deal for Ronaldo is thought to have been prompted by their desire to win the Champions League, and Allegri appeared to agree with the sentiment. “I think it’s a very important signing, which marks a step up for everyone at the club,” he said of the former Real Madrid superstar at an event in Brussells.

“When we start again on July 30 and have everyone back, we’ll have an important year ahead of us, like all the others, with objectives that need to be achieved.“I absolutely didn’t hear from [Ronaldo] on the phone. I think there will be a Press conference on Monday, so I’ll see him then.

“I know he’s very happy, he’s a great professional and an important addition to a team who have already done great things. I believe the club and President have done something extraordinary for Juventus but above all for Italian football. How will he play? Like he always did: trying to score goals.”
