Man United keeps tabs teenage star

Manchester United scouts have again been to check on Norwegian teenager Erling Haaland, writes Mirror Football’s Liam Prenderville. Erling Braut Håland, anglicised to Haaland, is a Norwegian footballer who plays as a striker for Molde FK in Eliteserien. He is a Norway U19’s international.

The 17-year-old is the son of former City and Leeds midfielder Alf-Inge and has shot to prominence at Molde. United have been to check on him recently and scouts were again in attendance for Sunday’s clash with Valarenga. And they will have been impressed with what they saw as Haaland turned in a fine display for the Norwegian side.

He played a key role in setting up the opener for teammate Mattias Mostrom before firing in his first at the back post after a corner wasn’t dealt with. Haaland added another early in the second half as he slotted home left-footed after being played clean through. The teenager has been in stunning form for Molde this season with a host of European clubs keeping tabs.
