With Ronaldo and Messi already eliminated, Neymar had the chance to prove himself on the biggest stage without any of the usual competition to steal his limelight. Finally he would be able to show what his believers, including Luis Scolari, have been telling everyone he is capable of.
Unfortunately, the PSG star missed his opportunity and this World Cup will be another one to be put in the memory box. It likely marks the end of his chances to win this year’s Ballon d’Or.
As such, with Belgium having knocked him out and with the player having spent the match falling to the ground as he has so much during this World Cup, Belgium fans have mocked the Brazilian with their new song.
As the fans left the stadium after Kevin de Bruyne and an own goal had taken Belgium to victory, they mocked Neymar’s actions, falling to the floor whilst imitating noises of pain.
