Everton have reportedly added Middlesbrough’s Ben Gibson and Swansea City defender Alfie Mawson to their shortlist of summer transfer targets.
The Blues view the centre-backs as potential fallback options should they fail to land Barcelona centre-back Yerry Mina, according to the Liverpool Echo.
Everton are said to be in talks with Barca over the Colombia World Cup star, and may entertain the option of taking him out on loan if a permanent transfer proves untenable.
New Toffees boss Marco Silva and director of football Marcel Brands are expected to overhaul their team’s defence this summer, having already offloaded Ramiro Funes Mori to Villarreal.
Ashley Williams has also been liked with the Goodison Park exit, while the likes of Kieran Tierney and Domagoj Vida have been touted as possible targets.
