Ben Foster joins Watford from West Brom on two-year contract

Ben Foster has left relegated West Brom and rejoined Watford on an initial two-year contract.

The 35-year-old goalkeeper is back at Vicarage Road where he enjoyed a successful loan spell from Manchester United between 2005 and 2007.

Foster helped Watford earn promotion to the Premier League and was voted the Hornet’s Player of the Season in the subsequent campaign.

He made 81 appearances for Watford and his form resulted in an England debut in February 2007.

Watford had opened talks with West Brom and Foster, along with team-mate Craig Dawson, refused to travel with the rest of the Albion squad for their pre-season training camp in Portugal.
