France goalkeeper and captain Hugo Lloris praised Uruguay strikers Edinson Cavani and Luis Suarez on Thursday, saying that the two were “one of the most beautiful attacking duos in the world.”
France, who claimed their only World Cup title on home turf in 1998, will take on two-time former champions Uruguay in the quarter-finals of this summer’s tournament in Nizhny Novgorod on Friday.
“Cavani is a historic personality, he is s hero. We are getting ready for facing him, we’re also getting ready for the opponents’ starting lineup that won’t include him. I know that there are many players who can play great in Edinson’s position.
