Ever Banega has informed Sevilla that he has no intention of departing the club this summer, amid heavy links with Premier League outfit Arsenal. Éver Maximiliano David Banega is an Argentine professional footballer who plays for Spanish club Sevilla FC and the Argentina national team as a central midfielder.
However, as per the aforementioned update from Marca this afternoon, Arsenal look to have been dealt a blow in their chase of the Argentine midfielder, amid claims that Banega has informed the Sevilla board that he has no intention of moving on over the coming months.
The report states that both the South American and his family are settled in Andalusia, and that Banega informed the club’s higher-ups during a meeting this morning that he could even extend his current deal at the Sanchez Pizjuan Stadium. As such, Arsenal are expected to push forward with their chase of Banega’s midfield partner at Sevilla, Steven N’Zonzi.
