Arsenal linked with Mexico World Cup star

According to the Mexican press, Arsenal “intend to sign” Hirving Lozano, nicknamed “Chucky”. Hirving Rodrigo Lozano Bahena is a Mexican professional footballer who plays as a winger for Dutch club PSV and the Mexico national team. He is popularly referred to by his nickname Chucky.

Publimetro add: “Chucky” Lozano would be the ideal player to give them the potential to attack, thanks to his speed on the wings and ease to face the rival defences.” Lozano is not just a World Cup star and was a key player as PSV won the Eredivisie last season.

Arsenal were impressed with Lozano at the World Cup as he showed off his pace which could well be a real asset in the Premier League. Whilst Arsenal do have fine attacking midfielders such as Mesut Ozil, Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Aaron Ramsey, the Gunners do lack out-and-out pace in the wide positions. Pierre Emerick Aubameyang did feature out wide at the end of last season, but is likely to be preferred in a central striking role this coming campaign
