Barcelona defender Yerry Mina has suggested that he intends to take some time out before making a decision on his club future following Colombia’s exit from the World Cup.
The 23-year-old caught the eye of numerous clubs with his performances in Russia, becoming just the second player in his nation’s history – after James Rodriguez four years ago – to score in three successive matches in the tournament.
Mina’s headed equaliser against England was not enough to keep Colombia’s adventure alive, though, as they went on to lose 4-3 on penalties at the Spartak Stadium.
Amid strong rumours that Liverpool are in pursuit of his signature, the centre-back was not willing to discuss his next career move when probed immediately after the defeat.
