It’s a rumour which has been swirling around for months. It’s been confirmed on Wednesday that PSG are trying to sign Chelsea’s midfield star N’Golo Kante this summer. The French daily report that PSG’s sporting director Antero Henrique wants to sign a midfielder and he’s identified Kante as the man to fill the role.
Back in January, the well sourced PSG ITKs ‘Paris United’ revealed that N’Golo Kante had started talking to French champions. According to Paris United, N’Golo Kante’s agent, Karim Bouisse, met with PSG’s sporting director Antero Henrique.
PSG are in the market for a new centre-mid to succeed Thiago Motta. Kante has long been named as the club’s primary target. More recently, German news outlet Sportbuzzer announced that Thomas Tuchel has targeted Chelsea’s N’Golo Kante as his number one midfield signing.
Chelsea have Kante under contract until 2021. Sportbuzzer believed PSG could offer 80 million euros to tempt the Blues to sell.
