Saido Berahino says he is determined to get his career back on track and help Stoke return to the Premier League at the first time of asking.
A difficult season saw the 24-year-old make the headlines for the wrong reasons after he was banished from the first-team squad by former manager Paul Lambert following disciplinary issues.Limited playing time extended the striker’s goal drought to more than two years, with his last goal coming in February 2016, but Berahino insists he can return to form with the newly-relegated Stoke.
“I have made some mistakes. I have let myself and the people around me down,” Berahino said,”But it’s part of life and you have got to try and better yourself every day and try to improve as a player.
