Chelsea move to replace Thibaut Courtois with Brazilian

Chelsea are set to return to Roma with a second bid for goalkeeper Alisson Becker, according to a report in Italy. The Blues are understood to have lodged a €60million for the Brazil keeper which was rejected by the Serie A side and now Sky Italia claim they are lining up a second bid of €70million to get the player on board at Stamford Bridge.
Roma owner James Pallotta has always maintained that Alisson would not be sold this summer, despite interest from Real Madrid, Liverpool and Chelsea.
However, it’s understood if an offer of €80million is lodged then the Italians will sell the player, who is currently Brazil’s No.1 at the World Cup in Russia. Liverpool are reported to have withdrawn their interest due to the huge price tag, while Alisson is believed to prefer a move to Real Madrid. Chelsea though lead the way for Alisson as they attempt to line up a replacement for Thibaut Courtois, who has yet to sign a new contract at Chelsea.
