As per a report from Sky Sports this evening, Premier League outfit Southampton have reached an agreement with Basel over the signature of versatile attacker Mohamed Elyounoussi.
Elyounoussi, a 23-year-old Norwegian international who can play either on the wing or as a centre-forward, has been on the books of Swiss giants Basel since 2016, when he made the move to St. Jakob-Park from Molde.
The gifted attacker has since gone on to average a goal every 3 league outings for Basel, having found the net 22 times in 66 Super League outings, and notched 14 goals in 45 appearances across all competitions this past season, including 2 in the group stages of the Champions League.
