Marco Asensio is a Spanish professional footballer who plays as an attacking midfielder for Real Madrid and the Spain national team. Spain have received their share of criticism as they somewhat stumbled to top spot in the group after two draws and a win and Asensio acknowledged that improvements can be made.
“During the week, we will try to correct our mistakes but the matches are very difficult and all of the favourites are suffering. We have done some things badly but we have also done a lot of good things. We finished first when it was possible that we could be second or eliminated and are very committed to doing well.
“There have been some difficult moments and we must have self criticism but we are all determined to improve and play a great part.”
