Former England and Manchester United defender, Rio Ferdinand is unable to decide who to support between Lionel Messi’s Argentina and the Super Eagles on Tuesday. Both teams take on each other in a Group D fixture in Saint Petersburg. Nigeria are in second place and need only a draw, while Argentina must win.
“I’m torn… Nigeria vs Argentina.. one part of me wants one of the best players ever (#Messi) to produce some magic for us to be entertained but the other part of me wants my Nigerian friends to go on and produce a magical team display. I’m torn!!!!” Ferdinand tweeted on Tuesday afternoon, hours before the 7pm kick-off.
Ferdinand holds a Nigerian chieftancy title and is a big admirer of Argentina captain, Messi.
