Everton striker Wayne Rooney is set to finalise his move to MLS outfit DC United tonight (Monday, 25th June), according to the Daily Mail. The newspaper reports on their website that the 32-year-old will finally make the move from Goodison Park after signing for Everton on a free transfer in 2017, with his new deal for DC United amounting to a seven-figure fee of £3.75million.
The forward – who netted 11 goals for the Toffees last season – had reportedly been deciding whether to remain on Merseyside following the appointment of new boss Marco Silva, but eventually set his sights on playing out the rest of his career in America, with a completed move said to be just hours away.
