Former Juventus and French David Trezeguet star analysed Spain’s chances in Russia and singled out one La Roja player for particular praise.
“In the first game, Spain came up against a majestic Cristiano Ronaldo and then faced a tough opponent in Iran so against Morocco, it will be difficult,” he explained.
“But they have all of the ability in their team to qualify and play very well as a team.
“I also love Diego Costa, he’s a centre forward with ambition, a real goalscorer and he has a huge impact in the opposition’s box.”
Turning his thoughts to his own nation, Trezeguet appeared quietly confident about the chances of Didier Deschamps’ men.
“I think that in this group stage, France have been, above all, effective,” he added. “Surely there is big room for them to improve, despite having won both the games they have played.”
