Real Madrid to target Man Utd striker Lukaku if Ronaldo quits

Reigning European champions, Real Madrid, have identified Manchester United striker Romelu Lukaku as a replacement for Cristiano Ronaldo. Reports say Lukaku is wanted by Real Madrid if Ronaldo ends up moving to Manchester United this summer. The Portuguese plunged his future into doubt with his comments following the Champions League final against Liverpool.

Ronaldo referred to his current club in the past tense alerting the likes of United to his availability. Real Madrid president Florentino Perez will demand Lukaku in a swap deal, if need be. New Real boss Julen Lopetegui is said to be a big fan of the United striker who impressed with 27 goals in all competitions in his first season at Old Trafford.
