Maurizio Sarri wants Chelsea to rival Liverpool and Real Madrid in the race to sign Brazil goalkeeper Alisson, reports say.
Having developed into one of the most highly-rated shot-stoppers in the world since signing for Roma in 2016, Alisson is expected to secure a big-money move this summer.
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is a known admirer of Alisson and will look to sign a new number one after Loris Karius’ shocking performance in last month’s Champions League final.
Real Madrid are in pole position to strike a deal for Alisson, however, and reports in Spain say the La Liga giants will look to sign the 25-year-old on a five-year deal. But there could yet be a twist as Gazzetta dello Sport say Premier League club Chelsea are ready to enter the race for Alisson. The Blues, who won the FA Cup last month, are reportedly set to replace Antonio Conte with Maurizio Sarri and the former Napoli manager is a huge fan of Alisson.
