Kogalo Coach: ‘Every Team Wants to Be the First to Beat Gor’

Gor Mahia coach Dylan Kerr has said that every team they face in the Sportpesa Premier League always ups their game because they want to be the ones to break Kogalo’s unbeaten record.

Speaking after their 2-0 win over Ulinzi Stars at Afraha Stadium in Nakuru on Saturday, Kerr also agreed that his team was under par because of exhaustion.

“Every team wants to be the first to beat Gor Mahia and therefore there are no easy matches for us. We knew this coming into this match and expected a tough match. We made a couple of basic errors and gave them chances. We got a goal early on and that calmed things down. We’ve had a tough week and to be honest my players looked jaded – they really battled for the points and credit goes out to them.”

Gor are unbeaten this season and are cruising to the SPL title as they are nine points clear on the log with three games in hand. Ulinzi had numerous chances to score but were wasteful in front of goal.
