Match Report: Poland 0-3 Colombia, Falcao compounds Lewandowski’s World Cup woe

Summary

Radamel Falcao was on target as Colombia put behind their disappointing start to the 2018 FIFA World Cup campaign to thump Robert and his Poland side 3-0 during Sunday’s Group H second round of fixtures, staged at the Kazan Arena.
Yerry Mina’s header, five minutes from half-time separated both sides after the opening period. After the break, the best man on the pitch Juan Quintero fizzed a pass into the feet of Radamel Falcao. The former Manchester United and Chelsea reject took a touch and rolled an outside-of-the-foot finish into the far corner for Colombia’s second.
Moments later, James Rodriguez’s perfect through-ball took the whole of the Polish defence out of the game, leaving Chelsea reject Juan Cuadrado to open his body up, before stroking a cool finish past the reach of Wojciech Szczesny.
