Frustrated in their efforts to sign Anthony Martial from Manchester United, Premier League side, Tottenham have turned their attention to Nice striker Alassane Plea. Spurs are said to have tabled an opening bid of £23 million for the versatile France attacker, who can play wide or as a central striker and scored 21 times for Nice last season.
However, according to reports, Spurs could face competition for Plea, with Bundesliga side Borussia Monchengladbach also interested in the 25-year-old forward. Tottenham are keen to bolster their squad ahead of the new Premier League season and providing adequate cover for England captain, Harry Kane is one of their key objective this summer. Their initial interest was to sign Martial from United but it seem the Old Trafford outfit are not interested in selling to a direct rival.
