Former Super Eagles’ captain, Austin Okocha has reacted to Nigeria’s 2-0 win over Iceland in their Group D fixture at the 2018 World Cup. Okocha speaking on Super Sports after the match said he was impressed with the Eagles performance during the second half.
“I was a bit nervous but the boys did very well in the second half, I was impressed. You have to earn the right to win. We totally deserved to win.” he said.
Ahmed Musa scored both goals for the Super Eagles, as they claimed their first win at the tournament in Russia. They will now face Argentina on Tuesday, hoping to book a place in the knockout rounds.
